Inspired by the abundant hues of art and architecture movements from the 1950s, our guestrooms at Casa Cuenca feature a curated expression of Mexican textures and simple materials that evoke comfort and serenity. We seek to provide guests with an experience of understated elegance inspired by classic Mexican design. Classic elements combine with contemporary comforts, artisanal quality combines with personalized hospitality, subtlety with surprise.
Each room features a spacious bed, fine linens, custom built-ins, and considered amenities that make you feel at home. From the tranquil shared spaces, to the vibrant pops of color at unexpected moments—this is your sanctuary in Mexico City. Every detail and experience has been considered and crafted with care. Our dialogue between craftsmanship, architecture, and Mexican design seeks to provide a point of view on the creative past and present of Mexico City.
Our Clásica rooms are the soul of the house. Thoughtfully constructed with custom built-ins to maximize space, decorated with classic Mexican design furniture and simple materials to evoke serenity. Each room features a bed for two guests and a private bathroom with a cascading shower.
Our Terraza rooms offer a fresh oasis, complimented by a private outdoor terrace where you can relax in solitude or commune. The rooms share the design elements of the Clásica rooms, including custom built-ins, furniture inspired by classic Mexican design principles and simple materials, a bed for two guests and a private bathroom with cascading shower or bathtub.
Our Presidencial suite is the star of Casa Cuenca. It features a living room with thoughtful interiors inspired by classic Mexican design principles with added contemporary comforts including a workspace. The sala connects to a spacious light-filled bedroom with a panoramic set of windows overlooking the main patio and to our beautiful guayabo jápones. This residential style room features a king-size bed and private bathroom with cascading shower.
Maleza is a living kitchen where small producers from the Valley of Mexico’s basin take center stage. We’re inspired by a dialogue between European techniques and concepts combined with flavors and ingredients used in the Mexican kitchen.
THE EXPERIENCE
This liberated path allows us to cultivate an expression of food and service that breathes freedom, creativity and authenticity in every detail. We’ve paired our dishes with a poetic selection of wine, mostly small vintages from Mexico, Italy, and France, that either turn up the heat or bring balance to the rich flavors found in our recipes.
Complementamos la experiencia con una poética selección de vinos—en su mayoría de pequeñas producciones de México, Italia y Francia—que resaltan el calor o equilibran la riqueza de nuestras recetas.
THE BAR
Our philosophy on cocktails is simple, serve it cold, uncomplicated, and amongst friends. Classic recipes revive the histories of spirits across cultures and highlight local fresh ingredients. Sit and sip at the bar or enjoy open air seating in our lush Condesa surroundings.
BRUNCH 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
Breakfast 8:00 am to 1:00pm
Comida 2:00 pm a 10:00pm

Our unique sense of hospitality offers an immersive experience for those seeking a combination of history, culture, and design.
The space celebrates our origins, exploring the unique traits of Mexican identity and the historical significance of the house originally built in the 1930s, a period marked by the rise and cultural splendor of Mexico. Further influenced by the ambitious and experimental design of the 1950s—when Mexico’s artists forever cemented its place in global art and architecture—we've created a sanctuary in the middle of Condesa to give our guests an authentic contemporary experience referencing the splendors of the past.
We’re deeply aware of how story shapes an experience. Our story is the story of Mexico. We are interweaving and converging ideas and influences that connect past to present. Casa Cuenca seeks to share this experience with you. A hotel that inhabits the textures of Mexico.
